Arf!

I saw this tutorial and bookmarked it because I knew I wanted to try it someday.  After a mix up at school where my daughter told her teacher I made a shirt for her that was store bought, I finally got to try it.  You see, she has this cute t-shirt with a black and white kitty picture and the kitty is wearing hot pink shoes and a tiara.  Bless her heart for giving me credit for it and thinking that was within my ability.  :-)  Anyway, she came home asking if I'd make one with a boston terrier for her teacher.  She seemed very disappointed to find out that I didn't make it for her, so I did what any crafty mom would do...I said SURE!

So here it is:

OMG, cute, right?!?

For the screen I used a thrift store embroidery hoop and sheer curtain, $4.50 for ink with coupon and $5 for the shirt, so for around $11 we have a nice end of year gift for her teacher.  I'm still deciding whether to add bling to him.  The screening process wasn't perfect, there was touch up to be done, but all in all it was fun and I'm very pleased with the results.

ps.  The teacher has a boston terrier.

Mother's Day gift

So I'm just going to go ahead and start out with a project I finished today, nope I didn't even procrastinate!! This is for my StepMom for Mother's Day, I love it so and want to keep it for myself. It's a table runner in case you haven't figured that out and it's also my FIRST try at free motion quilting. For the record free motion is MUCH harder than it looks. Next giftable holiday I'll add matching placemats....you can see where I'm going with this, right?
Ok, I'm not patient enough to figure out how to get the pictures in the right place right now so I'm just going to post it as is and y'all can just forgive me for being a newbie. ;-)

First blog post EVER!

Ok, I feel like I'm in the Dark Ages having never blogged before. But what the heck, right?
The procraftinator name has much significance. First the CRAFT part--I'm a crafter tradewise and a Craft marriage wise. (Don't tell him I married him for his name, K?) TINA is also part of the blog name and my name. I'd like to think I'm a PRO, but that's debatable. Then there's the "procrastinator" issue, well no one would deny the fact that I do indeed procrastinate. What can I say, I do well under pressure. No deadline=no pressure, well you see where this is going. Plus there's the whole if I don't have time to "do it right" thing, c'mon you all know what I'm talking about. Anyway, welcome to my blog that I hope to fill with crafty goodness, ya know, if I don't procrastinate too much. ;-)
